The odyssey of Urja started with cattle feed manufacturing unit in the year 2005,
from the farm-background family of Mr. Pramod Anandrao Hinge with aspirations to improvise a stable financial income for farmers in remote rural areas and to provide employment opportunities in rural areas which are in accordance to agriculture segment. Mr. Pramod Hinge founded Urja Foods And Agro Pvt. Ltd. On the 16th of December, 2014 at Manchar, Pune. We pioneered in the poultry integration business with the vision of being an affluent protein-delivery organization.

Urja foods set up a self-reliant Feed Mill on 16th December 2005 in Nirgudsar, Pune. Our goal is to provide nutritious food and supplement intake for cows and livestock poultry birds of the farmers for healthy beings and to increase productivity. In a very short duration of time, Urja foods have managed to earn the trust of farmers. We believe that if we provide good quality feed it exponentially increases farmer production. The company consistently focuses on doing business on the basis of quality. Currently, Urja Foods is producing more products for Cattle and various poultry birds with current distributions from Nirgudsar, Pune.
Contract broiler farming is the main business of Urja
We have a well-maintained hatchery unit with the capacity to produce hygienic chicks. We use an auto vaccination system in our hatchery. Which resulting a low mortality ratio. Urja Hatchery always works on chicken’s quality improvement. To cater these chickens and birds we established 150 TPD pellet feed plant which is fully automated and computerized. In addition, for premix manufacturing, we have an independent premix plant of 40 TPD where we produce quantity premix. Also, in December 2020 we introduced our new state of art Feed Mill first time with updated new technology having a capacity of 400 TPD with the provision of more than 400 TPD in the future.
Till date, Urja can proudly mention that we have provided employment in rural areas to more than 300 direct and indirect workers, 650 poultry farmers, 250 broiler wholesalers. Also, 3000 people, involved directly and indirectly in the poultry business.
Stepping into the glorious journey in 2021, there has been no looking back. Ambitious vision, strong dedication, prudent strategy, and productive people have enabled the company to accomplish milestones after milestones. From poultry, Farms to own EC Farms and EC Farms to direct customers. The company has accomplished a majestic journey, which is going on with vigor and ambition.
